From the beginning, the owners saw the promise in this Lake Oconee house. Its south-facing lake views and gently sloping site provide a strong foundation for a lakeside home. The renovation strengthens the relationship between house and landscape. New doors, a reconfigured deck and chimney, and a screened porch create layered indoor and outdoor spaces oriented toward the water. Patch Design approaches renovation by working with a house rather than against it. We embrace the existing form and respond to the siting so the architecture grows more connected to its place.
